Aniversários - Birthdays

Quando era mais nova não achava muita piada fazer aniversário no Verão porque tinha sempre que esperar por Setembro para festejar com os coleguinhas da escola. Agosto sempre foi a mês das férias e para muita gente ainda é.
Ao longo do tempo fui-me acomodando à ideia de não fazer festa mas sim pequenos jantares com a família e alguns amigos.
Um dos anos, que até nem estava a ser um ano muito fácil, os meus amigos fizeram-me uma surpresa. Disseram aos meus pais para m levarem até um restaurante e depois apareceram todos. Adorei a festinha e vai ser um aniversário que nunca vou esquecer!
O ano passado resolvi festejar de uma forma diferente indo à feira Medieval de Santa Maria da Feira. Já lá tinha estado no ano anterior, é muito giro e ainda tive direito a uma bolsinha feita à mão que a prima V comprou para mim.
Este ano pretendo passar a meia-noite ao som de Xutos e Pontapés no festival em Ponte de Lima.
Agora até acho piada ser em período de férias porque tenho sempre a possibilidade de fazer algo diferente!



When I was younger I got a little bit upset because my birthday was in the middle of the summer, I always had to wait for September to celebrate with my friends from school. August was and still is a month of holidays for many people.
Over the years I got used to the idea to make small dinners with some friends and family instead of big parties.
In a particularly bad year my friends decided made me a surprise. They told my parents to take me to a restaurant and then they all showed up. I loved the party and it’s a birthday that I’ll never forget!
Last year I decided to celebrate in a different way by going to the Medieval Fair in Santa Maria da Feira. I had been there the previous year, it’s very nice and I had a little treat from my cousin V, a hand made little bag.
This year, when the clock turns twelve o’clock I intend to be listening to Xutos e Pontapés in the Ponte de Lima festival.
Now I found it amusing because I can always do different things for my birthday.

Fim-de-semana / weekend

O fim-de-semana foi um misto de alegria e frustração!
Sábado à noite foi extremamente divertido, jantei com J antes de irmos com o K e N ao festival Marés Vivas (obrigada pelos convites prima G!!). Não me lembro de me rir e dançar tanto. Gostamos muito do som do Jason Mraz (AKA Johnny Morais lol) mas quem “mexeu” connosco foram os Powpow Movement, reggae para terminar a noite, muito bom!
Domingo precisava de recarregar baterias, pensava que iria dormir até tarde mas os meus vizinhos tinham outros planos! Às 10h resolvem “lavar a roupa suja” aos berros, a fechar portas com toda a sua força, a andar de um lado para o outro sempre a berrar, isto durante uma hora!!
Dado estar cansada deitei-me às 22h, tentar recuperar as horas perdidas de sono para vir trabalhar, mas os outros vizinhos acharam por bem andar a arrastar moveis e a aspirar.. Digam lá se não é frustrante??



This weekend was a mix of joy and frustration!
Saturday night was extremely fun, I had dinner with J before meeting K and N and go to Marés Vivas Festival (thank you for the invitation cousin G!). I can’t recall having so much fun laughing and dancing. We liked the melodies of Jason Mraz (AKA Johny Morais lol), but who got the party started were the boys of Powpow Movement, reggae to rap up the night, it was so cool!
I needed Sunday to recharge batteries, I thought I would be able to sleep the morning through but my neighbours thought otherwise! At 10 a.m. they decided to scream out all their problems with each other, they smacked doors, walked along the house always screaming, this lasted for an hour!!
I was really tired so I decided to go to bed at 10 p.m., to try to recover the lost hours and be able to come to work, but my other neighbours decide to drag furniture and vacuum clean… isn’t it frustrating?

Regresso – Return

Custa sempre imenso voltar de férias, entrar no ritmo, entrar na rotina…
As férias correram bem, os países não ficaram nada aquém daquilo que estava à espera, a Suécia é lindíssima, fiquei a saber que tem 96.000 ilhas!!! Atravessamos para a Finlândia num barco das Viking lines, nunca tinha andado num barco tão grande e adorei. O meu pai estava completamente fascinado e não houve grandes enjoos ehehe
Uma vez na Finlândia resolvemos dar um saltinho a Talim na Estónia. O centro histórico é super pitoresco, os prédios são do período gótico e estão muito bem conservados, é sem dúvida um bom destino!
Tudo que é bom acaba depressa e agora férias só para Dezembro.. 6 meses muito longos!!



It’s really hard to return from the holidays, readapt to the rhythm, the routine…
The holidays went well, the countries were as expected, Sweden is beautiful, I found out that there are 96.000 islands!!! We cross over to Finland in a Viking Lines boat, it was my first time in such a big boat and I loved it. My father was fascinated and no one was seasick ehehe. Once we were in Finland, we decided to go to Tallinn in Estonia. The historical centre is very picturesque, the buildings date to the gothic period and are very well preserved, and it is definitely a good destination!
All that is good ends quickly and I will only have other vacations in December.. It will be a long semester!
