Férias - Vacations

Durante duas semanas o blog vai estar paradito, vou de férias e vou-me desligar dos computadores. Quando voltar prometo mostrar fotos da Suécia e Finlândia. Nunca lá fui e estou ansiosa para conhecer!

I won’t be writing for 2 weeks, I’m going on vacations and I’m shutting down all computers. When I return I promises to show you pictures from Sweden and Finland. I’ve never been there and I’m anxious to see it!

Depois de dois dias repletos de trabalho, vai saber bem uma pausa a meio da semana! Vou tentar ir ver o fogo, há anos que não vejo!

After two days of hard work it is going to be nice to have a break in the middle of the week!

Sapatinhos de bébé - Baby shoes

Andava a navegar pelo site da Martha Stewart à procura de ideias para o Baby Shower da minha amiga S e vi lá estas coisinhas adoráveis. Tirei o molde e fui logo comprar os materiais. Não sei se dá mesmo para usar mas que ficaram uma fofura lá isso ficaram, não acham??

I was “surfing” through Martha Stewart’s website looking for ideas for my friend’s S Baby Shower and saw these lovely things. I took the templates and rushed to buy the materials. I don’t know if they are wearable but they are really cute, don’t you think?

Sorriso - Smile

Depois de dois anos de tratamento tenho o meu sorriso de volta! Sem dúvida que foi um sacrifício mas os resultados estão à mostra :) acho que até vou sentir falta das idas a Guimarães de mês e meio em mês e meio, ou então não ehehe




After two years of treatment I have my smile back! Is was definitely a sacrifice bus you can see the results :) I think I’ll miss the trips to Guimarães every other month, or maybe not ehehe

Descanso total - Total rest

De regresso… estive ausente do trabalho e decidi desligar-me no mundo da web :) tirei uns dias para descansar física e mentalmente! Soube mesmo bem não ter horários, dar passeios à beira mar, estar numa esplanada a ler, adiantar a colcha de patchwork, comer coisinhas gostosas e que só fazem mal :) foram uns dias para mim e agora estou capaz de enfrentar o trabalho com outro animo!
Como passaram estes dias? Que fizeram?



I’m back… I’ve been away from the office and decided to disconnect from the web world :) I took a few days off to rest physical and mentally! It was great not to have schedules, taking walks on the beach, reading in an esplanade, making my patchwork quilt, eating yummy food which isn’t good for you :) I took these days for me and now I’m ready to face work with another spirit!

Finalmente fim-de-semana! – Weekend at last!

Há semanas que custam a passar e esta foi uma delas… parece que foi castigo pelo último post.. Mais valia ter falado dos aselhas do transito como diz a R.
Mudaram-me de sítio porque, aparentemente, queixava muito das correntes de ar (fechei duas vezes uma janela). A desculpa não podia ser mais esfarrapada mas é o que temos como chefia que é tudo menos imparcial…
Pena que as coisas não tenham resultado como queriam e no aperto do calor até vão querer que volte ao meu lugar. Por estas e por outras é que digo como o sábio Povo, “cá se fazem, cá se pagam”!
Para a semana prometo voltar com uma atitude mais positiva, mas hoje estou mesmo esgotada!


There are weeks that seem too long; this was one of those cases… It felt like punishment from my last post… It would be better if I had talked about traffic jerks like R said..
I’ve been moved because apparently I was complaining too much about the drafts (I’ve closed the window twice). The excuse couldn’t be sillier, but this is how bosses work, they are impartial at all…
It’s a petty that things haven’t worked out as they wanted and in the summer they will be begging for me to go back. For these and other reasons I say as the wise People says “what goes around comes around”!
I promise to be more positive next week but today I’m just exhausted!

Viver em comunidade – Living in community

Parece uma tarefa tão simples e no entanto revela-se complicado porque as pessoas não entendem muito bem o limite da sua liberdade. A nossa liberdade acaba onde começa a dos outros, certo?
É o vizinho que decide discutir às 3h da manha sobre as garrafas de vinho que se bebeu ao jantar e quanto custaram; abrir as persianas às 6h30 com toda a sua força; pendurar quadros às 23h30 e que passa por nós e “rosna” um bom dia inaudível…
Ou são os colegas de trabalho que acham que nós é que devemos vestir um casaco porque a janela que querem abrir faz corrente de ar nas nossas costas, é que durante anos também sofreram com o ar condicionado e por isso os novatos também têm que passar pelo mesmo (boa lógica!!); pensar que devem ser as senhoras da limpeza a limpar aquilo que sujaram com café (inclusive a secretária de outros colegas) assim como a chávena que utilizaram; a impressora fica sem papel quando estão a imprimir e esperam que sejam outros a recarregá-la…
Haja paciência para tanta ignorância! Hoje é assim, revoltada com tudo e todos. Um bom dia para mim!!



It looks so easy and yet it’s so complicated because people don’t quite understand their freedom limit. Our freedom ends when the other begins, right?
The neighbour that decides to argue at 3 A.M the bottles of wine they had for dinner and how much it has cost; open the blinds with all his strength at 6h30 A.M., hang pictures at 23.30 A.M. and passes us by and gives an inaudible Good morning…
Or the co-workers that think that we must work with our coats on because the window they want to open produces a draft in our back, for years they have suffered with the air conditioner, so the new comers have to go through the same (wonderful logic!!); they think that the cleaning ladies must clean what they have smudge with coffee (including other people’s desk) as well as the cup they have used; the printer runs out of paper while they are printing and they expect other people to reload it…
We must have patience for such ignorance! Today I’m angry at everything and everyone. I wish myself a wonderful day!

Twitter

Hoje ando às voltas com o Twitter. A prima R. é que me apresentou este site.. já tinha visto noutros blogs, mas não entendia muito bem como funcionava e continuo sem entender ehehe isto com a pratica vai lá de certeza!
Agora gostava de por aqui no blog o meu Twitter para me seguirem, alguém sabe como se faz isso?


Today’s has been all around Twitter. My cousin R. introduce me to this site.. I’ve seen it on other blogs but never quite figured it out, I still don’t ehehe practice makes perfect right?
I would like to put Twitter on my blog, does any one knows how to do that?
